AMU

Intro

AMU is an African regional body/continental body formed in year 1989 consisting of 5 countries whose mission is to facilitate economic and future political unity among Arab countries of the Maghreb in North Africa.

Brief

It was established on 17 February 1989 in Marrakech, Morocco. The secretariat is based in Rabat, Morocco.  The highest decision making structure is the Council of Heads of State and meets  twice* annually.
